The reason you don't hear about it is because they are usually smaller less capitalized companies that don't get the headlines. Often these companies write higher risk types of insurance that are more volatile in terms of projected losses. The losses overwhelm the premiums collected and because of the thin capitalization the companies can't "ride it out". The larger companies are better capitalized and stay away from the unpredictable high risk lines of insurance. Check your State insurance department's web site I will bet that there are companies in receivership. Answered by Tom Z - Mon Nov 19 15:12:18 2007 How do I clean up my business' credit? (Pls exclude answers involving calling the credit reporting companies)
Q. Already talked to credit reporting companies and they told me to only do business with companies that report to them. My personal credit is being confused with my very separate business credit, and I am having trouble getting the two separated and cleaning them up. What can I do? Asked by tink2520 - Wed Aug 2 19:09:29 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Call Dun and Bradstreet. They are the ones who report buisness credit. If you have legitimate disputes they can remove them. If you don't, pay the creditors a settlement if they will take it. Answered by Credit Expert - Wed Aug 2 20:26:08 2006 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Business and Companies"
