The Open Document Format for Office Applications (also known as OpenDocument or ODF) is an XML-based file format for representing electronic documents such as spreadsheets, charts, presentations and word processing documents. While the specifications were originally developed by Sun Microsystems, the standard was developed by the OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC - OASIS ODF TC , committee of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) consortium and based on the XML format originally created and implemented by the OpenOffice.org office suite (see OpenOffice.org XML). In addition to being an OASIS standard, it is published (in one of its version 1.0 manifestations) as an ISO/IEC international standard, ISO/IEC 26300:2006 Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) v1.0. But you left out the version (I forget the actual year), that had "equality" in between liberty and justice. BTW, April hit the key difference. Forcing people to behave a certain way by taking away their choice is different than allowing people to have a choice. Congress mandates that the words "under God" are in the pledge. That's taking away a choice. Pro-choice people don't want the government making personal health and end-of-life decisions, that's guaranteeing a choice. Why can't people understand that freedom of choice is not a minority value, even if the majority happens to disagree with the minority's choice? Q. Heres the thing, I recovered an old HDD from another computer, that i plugged into my desktop, with the jumper clip still in it. Im planning to use partition magic 8 to merge the partitions in this disk (G:/ and F:/) in to one single drive, G:/. The problem is that theres a windows folder on drive F since it contains the OS for the old CPU, I'm trying to delete it but its right protected. this article: says i cant merge partitions with OS in them, but in this case, its not the OS i use to run the computer. another thing, the F:/ drive is NTFS, while G:/ is not formatted. Given the circumstances, is this merging possible? and how do I get rid of that windows folder? thank you! Asked by dudewtf? - Fri Jun 1 15:22:45 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments A. Don't try to merge, just delete both partitions and create a new one the whole size of the disk. Trying to merge would mean you'd have to format G as NTFS making sure the cluster size is the same. It'd be easier to start fresh. If you need to keep some of the data, move it off of F onto a local drive. Then, once you delete/recreate your partitions, you can move it back over.
